More Style Than Substance

I paid £28 thinking I was going to get a professional (advertised as master barber) yet it’s just another basic barber who can’t follow instructions and does exactly the opposite of what you ask for. Just another polished turd to over charge people. I have better cuts for £10 and now feel extremely ripped off!

What a bunch of donuts

Many things annoy me about this place, from the daft names of the barbers (Inky Steve comes to mind) to "we don't cut long hair" and the awful "no women" policy. But perhaps the worst thing is the fact that it costs so much for a bog standard short back and sides. A cut which should be the staple of any barbers. Twenty-five quid for that is insane. Couple it with a long queue and a pedestrian pace to actually get the cut and it's pretty much the worst barbers I've ever been to. Fair play to them for making a mint off a bunch of mugs but if you want a decent haircut for a reasonable price go literally anywhere else.

Waiting Times

I have visited both Manchester and Leeds. On both occasions I was told there would be a 90 minute wait!
I could not wait that long. My dear wife was quite shocked . She made her appointment at her hairdressers with no wait.
She thinks if you cannot do an appointment system then maybe you should offer a ticket system. This is so men can call back within the speculated waiting time and then give their numbered ticket back and have their treatments

An amazing unique experience!

I have heard a lot about the guys at Barber Barber & had to give them a try! I visited them mid morning on a Saturday - and found 13 people waiting! However I was committed so I stuck it out. 2hrs later the 4 chair saloon had arrived at my turn. My barber was a gent called Steve, very cool, very personable, very talented. I asked for a cut and beard trim. The service included hot towels, steam & cut throat razor - and I got a great finished look.

The Saloon is like something out of early 1900's wild west & women are forbidden! A very quirky location that will certainly make its mark on Manchester. My only criticism would be that I wasn't informed of what it would cost me, I expected to pay £24 and was charged £43, I'm not sure why, but I paid it anyway. Would I go back, yes definitely, but I would chose my time carefully, first thing in the morning is apparently the only time you can expect no waiting time. Well done JohnnyBaBa & team, you've nailed it.
